learning something new every day...

a year ago:

Sorry it has been so long . . . i kept trying to post something new and there would always be an error...

Milo has been growing in leaps and bounds and we cannot believe that he will already be one year old on Saturday! we have NO IDEA where on earth this last year went...

To show you just how far Milo has come here are some of the things he can now do...

• give kisses when asked



• say ball



• say rbbrrrr when asked what a froggy says



• say BAAA when asked what a sheep says



• say vroom vroom when asked what a car does



• say ooof when asked what a doggy says



• he can also say those things when you show him their pictures in a book



• say bye and wave



• point you to exactly where he wants you to go



• say toa for toast



• push things that he knows will make noise (like this flower that my dad found him that sings build me up butter cup)



• go into the pantry and turn on the light and point to his snacks



• point to your nose



• point to his hair



• stand and drumroll please...



• WALK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is crazy how quickly they learn...

Here are some things that Dan and I learned in the last year

• that we never knew that we could do so much on so little sleep!



• that we never knew we could love someone so much!



• that our stomachs are stronger than we thought when it comes to dirty diapers



• it IS different when it is your own kid



• how much we need our own parents



• that our parenting style is not what we thought it would be (extended breastfeeding, cosleeping, babywearing and cloth diapering)



• that we make a pretty good team :)
