My Potty Training ROCKSTAR!

***warning this post may be TMI for some people... poop is definitely discussed :)

Milo is truly a potty training ROCKSTAR!!

we started just one week ago and already he goes by himself pulling up and down his underwear!  The last 2 mornings he comes into our room saying I PEED! so excited and proud!

The best was at 2:30am this morning... he woke himself out of a dead sleep peed on his potty in the dark (we have been putting it next to his bed) then came in and told us!  I have heard that night training is difficult but it really came easy to him... thank goodness because

POOP has been a completely different story!!! Milo has been having problems with constipation and has had to go to the dr twice in the last month and has had to use laxatives/suppositories 3 times in the last month :( poor little guy the one time was so bad he was throwing up and sweating like crazy because he was so stopped up he couldn't even pee!

Anyway... on Monday we gave in and he pooped in a diaper (at that point any poop was good poop it had been 4 days for our very regular kid)  the dr finally put him on daily miralax to help him out :)

Well today was just awful he has unknowingly been drinking the miralax in his juice but it takes awhile to get them regular... so we had to try more laxatives :( poor kid!!  anyway he was refusing the medicine and physically fighting us as we tried to give it to him so much so that he began to poop!!!  He ran to the potty and SUCCESS!!!!!!  I cried tears of joy (i know whoever thought poop could cause you to cry tears of joy!)  He was SO very proud of himself and he knew that this meant he got 2 action figures that he bought the other day for this very occasion :)  they have been taunting, err i mean encouraging, him all week :)

The most utterly adorable part was anytime he was really struggling to the go the potty he would look at us with that sweet face and say, "mommy/daddy, can we pray about it?" such a sweet little innocent faith... if only we would all come to Jesus the way that children do... they never cease to amaze me!
